Porcelain cup and saucer with a deep blue ground decorated with circular panels in sepia monochrome depicting a portrait of Benjamin Franklin on the cup and trophies of America on the saucer, including a map inscribed ""Amerique"". Decorative panels are embraced with chased and gilded frame on cup and plain one on saucer. Rims are decorated with gilded borders of scrolls and wreaths.
