Byzantine

Obv.: Emperor standing, facing, wearing loros and crown with cross and circlet. In r. hand, long staff; in l., gl. cr. Overstruck on earlier follis with M between two standing figures (one on l., and SCL, visible). Rev.: M. Above, Monogram (with cross with C to left, P to right, and N below). To l. and r., palm. Monogram obscure (only N clear). Top of P off flan; C resembles K, being confused with a vertical stroke from earlier striking.
