Obv.: Inscription in field. Full-length figure of Christ, standing on dais, bearded and nimbate, wearing tunic and kolobion; holds Gospels in l. hand. * * in field. Pellet in each limb of nimbus cross. Rev.: Inscription. Full-length figure of emperor, bearded, on l., an dof St. Theodore, bearded and nimbate, holding between them patriarchal cross on long shaft at base of which a large globe. Emperor wears stemma, divitision, collar-piece, and jeweled loros of simplified type; holds sheathed sword in r. hand. Saint wears short military tunic and breastplate; holds sheathed sword in l. hand.
