Two Sections of an Architectural Frieze

Coptic

Sections of an architectural frieze decorated in relief. Interlocking laurel bands form a series of medallions, which themselves contain either a rosette or a female head with individual features, perhaps portraits. Section A is bordered along three edges by a very narrow, undecorated fillet; section B along its top and bottom edges. Stylized leaves fill the spandrels between medallions.
