Small Jar with Pedestal Base (Kandila type)

Squat jar consists of neck, body and foot. Four circular depressions creating "four corners" on body with remnants of what would have been pierced protrusions for running leather or fabric straps through for hanging the vessel. The shoulder of the vessel appears lopsided. Neck appears to have been restored and/or painted over as the surface appears different from body and foot. Underside of foot has depression. Heavy burial accretions accumulated on bottom half of body and pedestal.
