Portrait Photograph of King Ko-chong Wearing Royal Robes and Standing on a Carpet
Korean
This photograph represents a mustachioed, middle-aged Korean gentleman standing in a room with a carpet on the floor and a plain backdrop at the rear. The gentleman wears the robes, belt, and boots of an official. Emblazoned with a dragon, a circular rank badge with scalloped edges appears on his chest; a similar but smaller dragon medallion appears on each shoulder. He wears a truncated conical hat. The attire-and particularly the dragon-embellished, circular rank badges-suggest that the gentleman likely is a royal prince.
