A short prayer on the flyleaf (prayer recto; blank verso of folio 1) from a manuscript of The Prayer of Twelve Imams

The manuscript opens with an illuminated sarlawh. The text is in Arabic and is copied in large naskh, 12 lines to a page. All folios are decorated with gold floral motifs in the margins and interliner gilding.
The name of God (allahumma) and the prayer (al-salawat) are written in gold throughout the text. The manuscript was copied by Ahmed Shamlu in H. 1252/1836 according to the colophon.
