Painted canvas fragment

Painted plain weave cotton duck canvas fragment with knife cut edges. The fragment has a white priming layer covered almost entirely by an area of dark red paint and an area of orange paint. The dark red area is partially covered with a matte medium. The boundary between the two colors is oriented diagonally with respect to the canvas weave.
