Painted canvas fragment

Partially painted plain weave cotton duck canvas fragment with knife cut edges and a white ground layer. The fragment has a partial turn edge and tacking margin with staple holes. The white ground and the reddish orange paint layer that covers it both extend up to the turn edge. There are fragments of kraft paper stuck to the paint at the turn edge.
