Painted canvas fragment

Partially painted plain weave cotton duck canvas fragment with knife cut edges and no visible ground layer. Red paint is applied with dry brushstrokes directly on the raw canvas. The fragment has a turn edge with a tide line stain along the edge. There is also a stroke of red paint on the turnover edge.
