Painted canvas fragment

Partially painted plain weave cotton duck canvas fragment with knife cut edges and a white ground layer. The fragment has a partial turn edge and tacking margin with staple holes. There are two areas of dark red paint over the white ground at the turn edge. The turn edge is oriented diagonally with respect to the canvas weave.
