Tall, slender trees bow in a rightward wind as if they were blades of grass in this monochromatic ink drawing. Only a cluster of tiny human figures carrying bundles suggests their great height. The overlap of straight and curved lines conveys the wind’s power and unpredictability as it drives away what appear to be round clouds of whitish smoke.
