Two third of the paper area to the left of the circle is a black almost leaf-shape form with white “cracking” openings along the edges. A gray filled rectangle is situated on the upper left corner of this composition. The circle, the “leaf” form, and the rectangle are not overlapping. Lower left there are signature “Ting-shih” brushed in ink by the artist, and his square red seal in relief, reading “Chen.”
