Conical bowl covered all over, except for the base and small footring, witha chocolate0brown glaze. The inside walls of the bowl feature a spontaneously stylized depiction of a blossoming plum branch under a new moon by which pass small clouds, the designs spontaneously brushed in ash and buff slip atop the glaze before firing.
Jizhou ware: light gray stoneware with dark brown glaze, the decoration painted in overglaze buff slip. From the Jizhou kilns at Yonghe, Ji'an, Jiangxi province.
