Handle of Instrument with Monkey Statuette
Unidentified culture
Statuette of a monkey (or, less likely, a baboon) mounted on a small handle for some sort of implement, perhaps a blade or cosmetic applicator. The monkey stands with knees bent. His left arm is against his body, holding the strap of a bag on his back. In his right arm, which hangs by his side, he holds a situla or bucket. The base of the handle curves upwards in two volutes.
