Fragment of Hydria (neck): Dionysos with satyrs and maenads

In the center of the scene, Dionysus sits on a stool holding a drinking horn. He wears a wreath with red and black leaves and long, elaborately colored (stripes of added red) drapery. Vines spring out from behind him. He faces a woman, possibly his consort Ariadne, on the right, who stands wearing similarly ornately colored clothing and wreath. Her hair drapes down onto her shoulder. In her right hand, she holds a pitcher. To her right, two satyrs with dance, their beards and tails highlighted in added red. To the left of Dionysus, two satyrs and a maenad dance. The maenad wears clothing decorated with red dots and white crosses and wears a red headband. Possibly underneath is a scene of Herakles and Athena. The creast of Athena's helmet rises above the register line, and to her right the lionskin head of Herakles is visible.
