Standing Woman

Greek

Woman draped in chiton and himation. Hair is drawn back and tied in a large knot at the back of her neck. Face is indistinct, almost distorted. Wearing pointed shoes. Surface is darkened in spots and appears to have been damaged in a fire. Back unmodelled with a very large rectangular vent hole. Plinth is missing and there is a long break in the lower portion of the figure that has been repaired. Hard gray clay; remains of white slip.
