Shouldered Beaker from Nuzi Room G37, Stratum III

Shouldered Beaker from Nuzi Room G37, Stratum III

Hurrian

Thin-walled (0.2-0.3 cm), shouldered beaker of light-colored terracotta with narrow foot. The tapered body displays four dimples, or slight depressions, set apart from one another at fairly regular intervals. The rim and neck are partially broken, and a chip is missing from the foot. The location "G37" and the date "2-2-30" are written in pencil on the side of the vessel. The date is verified by the Original Field Catalogue entry, which lists the find-date as Feb. 2, 1930
