Intaglio Gem with Eagle and Olive Branch

Orange Carnelian intaglio; flat face. This intaglio depicts an eagle in 3/4 profile. The bird stands with one foot in front of the other, walking to the left. His wings are raised slightly. On the far right is a single branch or sprig. The beak is slightly hooked.
