Head from an Idol

Cypriot

Redware. Bottom is broken in a diagonal line. Loops with holes for ears, clay pinched to form nose, depressions for eyes and mouth. Right ear is chipped and nose is abraded. Reverse is decorated with zig-zag lines and there is a large pit at the top of the reverse. Sides decorated with zig zag lines.

Terracotta; reddish clay with red polish and white incisions.
