Scaraboid: two-horse chariot and charioteer

Rock crystal scaraboid with engraving on the flat face. The gem depicts a charioteer driving a two-horse chariot to the left. It is unclear whether the charioteer is a man or woman. The design is schematically rendered so that details of face or clothing are not readily visible. The animals are deeply carved with a drill in a style that approaches the a globolo style found in other Etruscan art.
