Torso of Aphrodite

Rudimentarily carved statuette is missing right arm above elbow, head and below knees. The drapery in relief wraps around right thigh passes diagonally over buttocks and around left arm below elbow ending in diagonally downward tab. There are drilled spaces between upper left arm and left wrist. Crudely carved bracelets around upper arms. A wavy relief lock of hair descends over each shoulder. The neck is marked by a horizontal groove just below break. There are two parallel grooves on the abdomen below the naval, which is a drilled hole. A modern mounting hole in break at knees. Possibly a votive statuette.
