Miniature Schematic Idol

Anatolian

This statuette has a round head with a long neck leading to an oval body with two triangular projections for arms. Two sets of hatch marks on the head possibly indicate eyes. The figure represents a human body. Such idols were found in 3rd millennium burials throughout western Anatolia.
