Architectural Roundel

Architectural Roundel

Italian

Roundel decorated in weathered relief. A bird attacks a hare, grasping in its talons the animal's hind quarters, and tearing at the hare's neck with its beak. The back, neck, and tail of the bird curve to fit the circle of the roundel. The hare, also curved to fit the space, turns its head back.
