Support of a Table or Basin

This carved, marble furniture support is in the shape of a youthful, standing satyr who carries a krater on his shoulder. The curly hair, deep eyes, and other facial features were created with a drill. Most of the satyr's nose is missing and there is a large chip in the base of the krater.
