Pendant consisting of embroidered panels of couched metallic yarns and outlined in red silk suspended from a braided cord with black and white chevrons. From top to bottom: 1) medallion with cartouche embroidered "SITIO" on ground of silver lamé and filé 2) knotwork with sponge and pincers (instruments of the Passion) intricately braided silver gilt filé and lamé (ground: warp-face yellow silk plain weave with supplementary filé and lamé stitched to red silk plain weave) 3) square embroidered medallion illustrating the "Kiss of Judas" (split stitch and French knots, 1 lamé, 4 filé pattern) 4) 5-rung ladder in black and white 5) Veronica's veil with painted Christ's face (couched ground with gilt lamé strip alternating with 4 filé; split stitch and painting on satin) 6) Scourge (instrument of Passion) on knotwork 7) Cock in square medallion (split stich; eye or bullion stitch) 8) Pillar in 3D (braiding over wooden core) 9) Christ's garment in a square medallion (couched gilt lamé and filé) 10) St. Peter's sword (knotwork over padding - 3D look) 11) Money bag in square medallion (sattin stitch) 12) 4 spools (?) in black and white 13) Silver basin and pitcher on left; 3 dice on right (satin and split stitch); Maltese cross flanked by knotwork motifs below Four tassles at bottom
