Rajput Courtier Holding a Spear

The courtier stands in profile facing to the right. He wears a turban that is tied with a thick band, an earring, necklaces, and a jama (robe) with a short, pleated, and flared skirt. A punch dagger (katar) is tucked into a sash (patka) that encircles the courtier’s waist. He has a thick handlebar mustache and a prominent sideburns. His left arm is bent outward and his right hand holds a long spear horizontally. Rajput Style, Kota School.
