Recto: Portrait of a Rajput Prince; Verso: Portrait of a Lady with a Partial Drawing of a Man’s Face

On the recto of this folio is a full-length portrait of a Rajput prince, facing right. He wears a turban, an earring, a strand of pearls, a pendant, an armlet, and bracelets. He is dressed in a long robe (jama) with a decorated waist sash (patka). Tucked into the waist sash is a large punch dagger (katar). Hanging from his side is a sword (talwar) and a shield (dhal). The prince’s hands are clasped in front of him. He has a small mustache and a trimmed beard.
On the verso side is a full-length portrait of a Rajput woman. Her head is partially covered by a scarf that wraps around her body. She is adorned with earrings, a nose ring, an armlet, and necklaces. In front of her she carries a long garland with a tassel in the middle. In the bottom left is a partial drawing of a face of a Rajput man with a large, full beard and turban, facing forward. Rajput style.
