Rajput Chief on Horseback
Indian
Mounted on a large, pink, rearing stallion is a Rajput chief. The figure bears a distinct beard, pierced ear with a double pearl earring, and a distinct turban. The turban is white with a decorative yellow band and has a protrusion in the back that curves inward. The figure wears a white and gold sash. Tucked into the sash are two daggers and a punch dagger (katar). These weapons and costume remain unfinished. Hanging from the other side of his body is a shield and a long sword. With his right hand he holds the light blue reins of his horse and the left hand hovers over the lower part of the horse’s neck. The horse’s hair is decorated with yellow tassels.
