Radha and Krishna Celebrating Holi

The painting depicts Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu who is worshipped as a deity in his own right, and his consort, Radha, participating in Holi festivities with a group of men and women. Holi, known as the “festival of colors”, is a Hindu holiday that celebrates victory of good over evil and the arrival of spring.
