“Chuprassi”
Indian
Set against a plain background is a male figure. He wears a white robe with a blue waist sash. The low neck exposes a shirt with pink and green flowers. Running across his body from his right shoulder is a red sash with a blue border and a small plaque with writing. The robe reaches just below the knee, exposing a white fabric with blue flowers. He wears brown heeled shoes that have toe ends that curl upward. He carries in front of him an envelope in his left hand. Tucked under his left arm is a fly whisk. He has a mustache and wears a blue turban. Underneath the depiction, written in cursive and black ink is: “Chuprassi”, meaning a messenger or servant wearing an official badge. Company School.
