Couch Leg

Couch Leg

Roman

Elaborately carved wooden furniture leg, possibly for a couch, stool or table. It has a wide, flat foot below six thin torus shapes. The top, where it would have attached to a seat or tabletop, is narrow; below it is a carved bell or flower shape. The leg is curved and cracked, with a few chips missing from the raised decorative areas.
