Covered jar with long cylindrical neck, wide shoulders, compressed body, and straight foot resting on a flat base, the slightly domed cover with finial in the form of a seated human figure leaning to one side propped up on one arm; the vessel shoulders decorated with a molded frieze of tigers, dragons, and other mythical beasts striding amid clouds; red earthenware with lead-fluxed amber-brown glaze, the undersides of the vessel and cover unglazed. One of a pair with 2006.170.205.A-B.
