Mirror with Engraved Decoration

Etruscan

Bronze disc with dentilated edge on convex side. Concave side with incised decoration: two winged men stand facing, wearing helmets, tunics, and a chlamys tied around the neck. Between them is a rosette, and behind them is a pediment. The uppermost portion of the plate from which the shank ran is preserved. Segment of the disc is broken away. Both sides are covered with a thin green patina over red curpite corrosion, with much surface bubbling.

Bronze

Classical period, Late, to Hellenistic
