Covered spherical jar with lower portion tapering inward to a flat base, shoulders taper inward to a short, vertical mouth rim; six squared lug handles encircle the shoulder in alternating configurations of single- and double-lugs; lightly carved stylized lotus-petal decor encircles the belly with petal tips pointing down toward the foot; lightly incised horizontal lines encircle the waist and shoulder; lid is gently domed and topped with a flat, square finial; carved stylized lotus-petals radiate from the center finial; light gray stoneware with light green celadon glaze; glaze stops short of the foot; base unglazed. Place of manufacture uncertain.
