Cylindrical jar with beveled rim, straight sides, lower portion tapering inward to a splayed circular foot; gray earthenware coated with white slip, the surface burnished before firing. Dawenkou culture. From the middle and lower Yellow River valley regions; Shandong, northern Jiangsu, northern Anhui, and eastern Henan provinces.
