Bowl with ovoid cross-section supported on a flared pedestal foot with upturned edge and with two angled loop handles at midsection; buff earthenware with abstract decoration painted in black slip and white pigment. Majiayao culture, Majiayao type. From the upper Yellow River valley region; Gansu, Qinghai, or Ningxia province.
