Globular jar with descending lotus-petal decor

Globular jar with short neck, carved decoration of descending lotus petals with flared tips projecting outward at midpoint of body, short, flat circular foot, and four pierced square lug handles encircling the shoulder; pinkish gray earthenware with pale green lead-fluxed glaze streaked with amber-brown and bright green over carved and incised decoration; base mostly unglazed, with some glaze overflow. Place of manufacture uncertain, probably northern China.
