Untitled (La Grande Eclipse)

1982

John Buck American, born 1946

United States

Woodcut has proved to be a natural print medium for Buck, who is best known for his carved-wood sculptures of freestanding figures, often placed against painted backdrops that suggest tangible space. Untitled was Buck's first major print, and he has revisited the blockprint frequently since 1982.
