Charles Francis Annesley Voysey is known for his textile designs that incorporate attenuated floral and plant forms. Alexander Morton & Co. produced woven textiles for a number of British Arts and Crafts artists. The firm’s work was technically inventive, using subtle shifts in texture to heighten a pattern’s effect, which contributes to the success of this design.
