Project Pork Chop: Youngsters struggle with packages of free pork, from truck in background. About 60,000-pounds of pork products were distributed at five different locations in the Hough Avenue area for needy families. This area was the scene of the 1966 riots. Members of the National Farmers Organization who were going to destroy the hogs in an effort to raise sagging pork prices, donated them instead. A Sandusky meat packer agreed to donate the processing services, April 5, 1968
