James Tissot (1836-1902)
A collection of Michael Wentworth’s research and professional materials relating to the work of James Jacques Joseph Tissot. Aside from three albums of photographs of Tissot’s work (from the 19th century), the collection contains material from 1954 to 2002, with most items coming from the 1980s. Media types include visual materials (e.g., photographs, print illustrations, postcards) and written and printed textual material (notes, lists, correspondence, books and articles, auction and exhibition catalogs).
