Nellie Verne Walker (1874-1973)
Nellie Walker (1874–1973) was a student and later a colleague of the noted American sculptor Lorado Taft. Most of Walker’s sculptural commissions are located in the Midwest. Approximately thirty of her works are represented in this collection by photographs; one project—the statue of Winfield Scott Stratton, in Colorado Springs—is particularly well-documented in correspondence and other business papers.
