Steven Jay Urry (1939-1993) Koehnline Museum of Art
Research papers and notes regarding the sculptor Steven Jay Urry that were collected by curator Victor Cassidy while preparing for the exhibit “Steven Jay Urry: A Retrospective,” and its accompanying catalog at the Koehnline Museum of Art, Oakton Community College, Des Plaines, IL. Urry was known for his abstract welded steel and aluminum sculptures of biomorphic forms. Born in Chicago, he lived and worked in Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Miami, and Arizona.
