No More No Less (Chicago) Model

2017

Pezo von Ellrichshausen (Chilean, founded 2002) Mauricio Pezo (Chilean, born 1973) Sofia von Ellrichshausen (Argentine, born 1976)

No More No Less is an ongoing project in which the architects of the firm Pezo Von Ellricshausen insert a museum at a 1:10 scale into an exhibition space. Inside the rooms of the miniature museum are representations of the studio’s work. The positioning of an architectural model within a “mother-model” generates a double reduction that speaks to a paradox inherent to architecture: the unavoidable need to exhibit architecture as a representation of an absent object and architecture itself as the representation of yet another thing, such as an idea, a value, or a technique.
