Bless No. 46 Contemporary Remediation The ToC Pillowdo

2012

Bless (German and French, founded 1997) Ines Kaag (German, born 1970) Desiree Heiss (Austrian, born 1971)

The design studio Bless produces work that falls within and between the categories of fashion, beauty, interior decor, and art. The ToC Pillowdo playfully visualizes a typical bike helmet’s cushioning function. It comes from the Bless No. 46 Contemporary Remediation collection. For this series Bless disrupted the traditional business model of a fashion house by requesting wish lists from clients and creating pieces in response. The firm produced this pillow helmet for Portland-based design shop Table of Contents as part of a set of bike accessories.
