This textile combines the two approaches to warp-pattern weaving used in the other two works in this case. The weaver prepared the loom with different colors of warps (stretched threads) in vertical stripes. Then the weaver decided which color to bring to the front to create motifs backgrounded by the other color. Most of the stripes have two colors, but the stripes woven with X patterns have three—white, red, and green—which is a much more difficult technique because one color of thread is hidden within the middle of the cloth.
