Moonrise in the New Forest

1914

Theodore Roussel French, worked in England, 1847-1926

England

Roussel’s last color print is also his most abstract. Apart from the crescent moon, the composition’s details are almost completely blurred in favor of evoking atmospheric elements like light and air.
