A work made of etching in brownish black ink on ivory wove paper.

Untitled

c. 1973

Christina Ramberg American, 1946-1995

United States

Demonstrating Ramberg’s continued interest in the ways clothing affects how we view the body, this etching is composed of rows of binding bodices and corsets. By playing with erotic implications of women’s fashion, Ramberg created powerful and troubling representations of the female form.
