Krone (Crown) (Dress or Furnishing Fabric)

1919

Designed by Dagobert Peche (Austrian, 1887–1923) Produced by the Wiener Werkstätte (Vienna, active 1903–1932) Austria, Vienna

Vienna

Like a number of Peche's other patterns, Krone effectively combines two of the artist's favorite visual themes—the ombré effect of stripes of color and the fine line drawing of floral forms, here placed in the lightest zone of the stripes.
